Big Sur is a 90-mile stretch of mountainous coastline that is packed full of locations that are perfect for couples sessions, adventure elopements, and intimate weddings. From rugged coastlines to secluded redwood forests, rolling hills, and more there are so many picture-perfect locations to choose from. While most couples think of the classic locations like Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Bixby Bridge, Point Lobos State Nature Preserve, Garappata State Park, and McWay Falls it's always fun to explore the hidden pockets of Big Sur.
What can be surprising to some is how each type of location can change throughout the seasons. Coastlines that are painted with wildflowers in the spring are covered with wild pampas grass later in the year. The rolling hills that were easily accessible with these two quickly became overgrown by the next time we visited Big Sur, showing how we must be adaptable and flexible when shooting in nature.
