Less Like Vendors - More Like Friends

Hey there, we’re Courtney & Dakotah! A husband and wife team with a deep rooted passion in creating more for our lives and doing things a bit untraditional. Our love is the driving force behind our work and we believe that every couple should have the opportunity to celebrate their love with an experience that feels natural, intimate, and true-to-them. We love getting to know our couples, hearing your love stories, and building connections that allow us to capture your honest moments and real memories.

Our love story is quite special and all started in high school yearbook, opposites definitely attract, and we haven’t looked back since. Growing up together, discovering our purpose and passions alongside one another, experiencing the peaks and valleys of life, and the adventures we’ve shared together have fostered our immeasurable connection and endless love we hold for each other.

We recently married each other in Big Sur - cruising along Pacific Coast Highway and stopping where our hearts pleased, taking in the breathtaking and rugged landscape, saying our vows in a field of wildflowers overlooking the coastline, and celebrating the night away with an intimate fireside dinner in the redwood forest. Celebrating our love, just the two of us, was one of the most magical and meaningful experiences, something we will never forget and hold within our hearts forever.

Dakotah

A nature lover + lifelong creative, I fell in love with photography when I was gifted my great grandfather's film camera. I can still remember the feelings I felt when dropping off my first rolls of film at the lab, impatiently waiting to see what I had created. I received my BFA in Photography & Imaging from Art Center College of Design & have been shooting professionally for over a decade. A student of life, I am always curious, seeking out knowledge & grasping any opportunity I have to adventure.

California born + raised, the coastline has my heart. You can usually find me soaking in the sun, tending to my garden, and loving on my two terriers. Growing up my parents encouraged me to live a life full of adventure, spending summers skiing on the river and winters on top of snow capped mountains - memories that I will cherish forever. I never expected that my life would lead me to where I am today, but I am so thankful that I get to work alongside my best friend and celebrate real love stories.

“the joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun”
